Karla Thorpe is the Director of Prevention and Promotion Initiatives for the Mental Health Commission of Canada. At the Commission, Karla supports the implementation of prevention and promotion initiatives, leading and directly accountable for the implementation of the Commission’s strategic goals in the area of workplace mental health promotion.

Prior to joining the Commission, she was a Director with the Leadership and Human Resources Research Division of The Conference Board of Canada leading the organization’s Workplace Health and Wellness practice.

Karla has earned a Master of Science in Statistics from Queen’s University as well as a Bachelor of Commerce from Carleton University. She is also an active member of WorldatWork and the Ottawa Region Rewards Association.
