Heather fell in love with yoga in 2006, during a year spent sailing aboard a tallship. In an ever-changing environment, yoga helped to keep her grounded and offered an opportunity for self-discovery, personal growth, and healing.
Eager to explore more of what yoga had to offer; in 2008 Heather made the leap, and enrolled in yoga teacher training, with Calgary’s Yoga Passage. Following her training she moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia to pursue a degree in Health Promotion at Dalhousie University.
Most recently, Heather completed a yoga therapy teacher-training program, based on the teachings and wisdom of Sri. T. Krishnamacharya. This yoga therapy program deepened her understanding and exploration of yoga in a very meaningful way. She is passionate about combining my background in Health Promotion with Yoga Therapy, with the intention of focusing on specific health issues to meet the needs of the individual in the yoga practice.
