An associate of CanadaStartUp.com, Chris Stairs supports a diverse range of Vancouver-based ventures: Wearable Therapeutics (for children with autism), FTS|authenTICKET (anti-counterfeit event ticketing solutions), Sitemax Systems (construction management software), and PugPharm (digital fan engagement platform for tourism, television, and special events). He is a part-time British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) faculty member, providing business start-up and basic finance instruction for the corporate and aboriginal communities of British Columbia. He volunteers as a mentor for the University of British Columbia (UBC) Sauder School of Business, and serves as the President of the Jericho Sailing Centre Association.
Chris has been a member of CMHA’s Bottom Line Conference Committee for over five years now. Promoting mental wellness has become an ever more important mission in both his personal and professional life, after experiencing first-hand the damaging effects of unaddressed mental health problems among family, friends, and colleagues. A single father, Chris dedicates his parenting efforts towards cultivating environments of openness, self-worth, self-expression, personal empowerment, and initiative for his daughter. They represent essential building blocks for a fulfilling, happy, and mentally healthy life.
