Julie has worked for Corrections Canada for 8 years. She has worked in Administration, as a Correctional Program Officer delivering programs to inmates and for the past 3 years she has been working as a Project Officer for Employment Equity & Diversity and Workplace Mental Health. She is currently tasked with developing a National Staff Peer Support Program for Corrections Canada. She has a passion to help people, has experienced mental illness herself and has supported family members who were experiencing mental illness. She really enjoys working to help make the workplace psychologically better. She has three children, is happily married and lives in the Fraser Valley.
